She (sue uteck) would be great. She is not afraid to stand up to that weiner Kelly. I respect her. Too bad when she did stand up to Kelly in the past six months, the public attacked her personally. I have to hand it to her for being herself and having principles.

Halifax can remain as it is - a SMALL city blessed with every conceivable natural advantage that could make it a real city with an industrial/commercial base tax-base that would greatly reduce the burden now carried by the homeowner and renter - with no takers.
Our problem goes back many years and remains to this day. We simply need good business men and women on council and in government generally.
Presently we have a fiddle player as a premier and a sandwich maker as a mayor with most on council who have never worked on more than a family budget.
We need men and women on council who can talk to CEO's of major corporations face-to-face and have an understanding of their needs and aspirations. It must be done on the Corporation's level if we have any hope of them wanting to establish a presence in Halifax.
Part of the understanding has to be that Corporations are not interested in moving to an over-grown town the infastructure of which is a mess, streets that make it a chore to enter and exit and a mayor and council who see them only as a tax-grab rather than a corporate citizen that is appreciated.

During the fallout for the commonwealth games she Actually said she would battle from more money from the feds well That was all you were going to get Sue and it is very clear

Sheila Copps Former Cabinet minister in the liberal government secured 250 million for the commonwealth games bid that was unsuccessful for Hamilton in 2003. Sheila Copps represented A Hamilton riding once as duty Prime Minister.

THe HRM votes Socialist and Stephen Harper has nothing to gain writing a blank check for Halifax. What were these people thinking that the Federal Conservatives would pay a Billion dollars for the GAMES when they are only funding the Vancouver Olympics for 550 million .

Sue Uteck and all the Halifax dreamers can forget it LOL. Jim Flattery would not even re commmit to the Paul Martin Liberal promise to pay 20 million in gas installation costs for all the Hospitals , Government office and most of all Saint Mary's University.

Halifax voted Liberal and NDP so now you have no power with the conservatives hope could care less about the expesive little hobbies you want but dont want to pay for.

The Maritimes Could vote on mass and through all the Tories out which is not going to happen and they will pick up those seats and more in Ontario in the next election giving
Harper his majority and the ability to really give the gears to the east LOL.
