Motorists are to be advised that the Armdale Rotary will be temporarily closed to traffic overnight Saturday and most of Sunday to allow final asphalt paving and line painting. Weather permitting , from 6:00 p.m. Saturday (September 15th) to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, the Armdale Rotary will be closed to all traffic, except emergency and Metro Transit vehicles.

Pedestrians will be permitted to use the marked and signed temporary crosswalks and sidewalks outside the work zone.

During the closure, traffic bound for the rotary will be detoured from:

-Herring Cove Road to Cowie Hill Drive;
-Quinpool Road to Connaught Avenue;
-Chebucto Road to Mumford Road;
-Joseph Howe Drive to Mumford Road; and
-St. Margarets Bay Road to Northwest Arm Drive.

Local traffic only will be permitted between the detour points and the Rotary during the closure. HRM urges motorists to choose another travel route during this period.
