No one cares about municipal politics around here. Voter turnout is getting lower every year. There is no passion and no one stands out. I think the only reason Kelly got elected then re-elected was because of name recognition alone.
Young people especially don't care. Myself, being 27, the only reason I voted the last time was because of the Sunday shopping issue (I voted for Sunday Shopping). I can't even remember who got my X for mayor. This time around, I will make sure that it is not Kelly.
